PM Wong says US, China in ‘mutually assured disruption’ dynamic; Woman who ran immigration investment scheme convicted: Singapore live news

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on Tuesday (9 June) it will step up enforcement against illegal gambling during the FIFA World Cup 2026 which kicks off this week.

“Major international sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup generate heightened interest in gambling activities, including illegal gambling,” said MHA in a statement. “Such activities can pose serious law and order concerns.”
