SINGAPORE – A performer for a show at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) in Sentosa who suffered a medical emergency during a training session last week has died, said Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) on May 26.
Investigations are ongoing, but the police do not suspect foul play, based on preliminary investigations.
The man’s fellow performers had noticed that he was in distress during the incident on May 19 and provided assistance immediately, said an RWS spokesperson in a media reply on May 22. The USS theme park is within the integrated resort.
The police said they received a call for assistance at RWS at about 10.30am on May 19. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) also received a call for assistance at about the same time at 30 Sentosa Gateway, which is the address for USS.
