The next Kingdom Come game comes out sooner than you think, is an open-world RPG

Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, Warhorse Studios’ Communications Director, quickly dispelled those worries during a livestream after the announcement, which was subsequently clipped and shared on the developer’s official X account. During the discussion, Stolz-Zwilling clarified that the Kingdom Come game is an “open-world RPG” directed by Prokop Jirsa, lead designer on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and that “if everything goes right, it comes next fiscal year.”

In short, the next Kingdom Come game should be similar in structure to its predecessors and will launch sometime between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028. Stolz-Zwilling pointed out in the video that this two- to three-year wait will be much shorter than the seven-year gap between Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its sequel.

Warhorse Studios is not revealing much else about the newly revealed games right now, though. Unfortunately, we learned in March that the studio laid off its Czech-to-English translator and editor, seemingly to replace their work with AI translations. This third Kingdom Come game will be the first to show us how that move will impact the studio’s English-language localization.

If you want to play the most recent game in the Kingdom Come series before its successor arrives, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The studio’s Middle-earth RPG does not have a release window.
