Do not expect new Mac hardware announcements at this year’s WWDC 2026.
Looking at Apple’s past launch patterns, new Macs had only been unveiled at WWDC on four notable occasions, with each announcement serving a specific purpose.
At WWDC 2017, Apple introduced the iMac Pro, a move widely seen as reassurance to professional users that the company had not abandoned the high-end market segment. Apple found itself in a similar position two years later when it unveiled the 2019 Mac Pro at WWDC, alongside the Pro Display XDR.
