Why Oceania Cruises’ Allura is a foodie’s paradise, from onboard dining to culinary trips


It is hard to be hungry or bored on an Oceania Cruises voyage. The only challenge is navigating the endless feasting if you go solo.

On a four-night showcase cruise on Oceania’s latest vessel, Allura, I join a group of about 700 media and trade personnel sailing from Italy’s northwestern city of Genoa to northeastern Trieste, with a stop in Split, Croatia.

Oceania Cruises is a subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line, which also owns Norwegian Cruise Line and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Allura is Oceania Cruises’ eighth ship, and second under its Allura class, following the launch of Oceania Vista in May 2023.
