Apple’s rumoured camera-enabled AirPods Pro have surfaced again in a new Bloomberg report.
The upcoming AirPods Pro could feature cameras embedded in both the left and right earbuds. These cameras are not intended for capturing photos or videos. Instead, Bloomberg says these are low-resolution cameras that were designed to act as “the eyes” of a “more personalised version of Siri”, allowing users to ask questions about objects or surroundings they are looking at.
The visual intelligence capabilities could extend beyond object recognition. Potential use cases reportedly include contextual reminders based on what the user sees, as well as more intuitive navigation, such as pointing out landmarks during turn-by-turn directions.
