Former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield has shut down the suggestion he is secretly in Spider-Man: Brand New Day — and specifically denied being one of the characters fans seem certain have been edited out of a specific trailer shot.
Marvel’s first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer included a particular moment that fans believe has been digitally edited to hide other characters that currently remain under wraps. Marvel did this previously with a trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, back when Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man were still a secret.
Now, however, Garfield has been asked to comment on that particular trailer moment — prompting him to describe the situation as “insane” and “absolutely ludicrous.”
