Starting in June, Singapore Airlines will launch a new Hangzhou–Singapore route.
On one hand, Hangzhou is home to major corporations such as Alibaba Group, generating substantial demand for business and international travel.
On the other hand, the city continues to attract passengers from surrounding regions. These travelers can connect via Singapore to destinations across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and even Europe and North America—representing the greater growth potential of this route.
For Singapore Airlines, Hangzhou also carries additional strategic significance.
