Huawei’s Watch GT Runner 2 offers real-time marathon guidance, available in Singapore

Huawei has launched the Watch GT Runner 2 smartwatch, designed for running enthusiasts and serious marathoners who want precise and comfortable running metrics on their wrist.

According to Huawei, the iOS- and Android-compatible watch is designed with runners’ needs in mind. That includes little details like its lightweight construction (34.5g without strap), the thinness of the watch’s case (10.7mm), and the choice of AirDry Woven straps for improved breathability and sweat-repelling properties.

Its true highlight, however, is the watch’s combination of sensors and algorithms specifically designed for tracking runs. It has built-in detection and metrics for lactate threshold calculations, muscle performance, and training intensity, with support from Huawei TruSense sensors like heart rate monitoring to get a better read on training loads and potential risks.

New to Huawei is what it claims to be the “world’s first” Intelligent Marathon mode, which combines all of the above to make marathon races more measurable.

Intelligent Marathon mode supports race performance tracking of World Athletics Label Road Races. It can guide users from start to finish with real-time updates via the watch face, with dynamic pace guides, reminders to refuel or hydrate, and other running optimisations.

Hardware improvements include a 250% better positioning accuracy on the watch.

Pricing and availability

Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 officially retails at S$398. Retail begins on 14 April 2026, 8PM (SGT) onwards, on the following three platforms:
