Huawei’s 2026 MatePad 11.5 S brings a paper-like touch to its tablet

The PaperMatte Display technology on it helps to reduce eye fatigue during use. According to Huawei, it also reduces “sparkle” by 50% compared to previous PaperMatte versions, optimises the screen’s texture, and even offers a writing and sketching experience similar to real paper.

For sketching folks, it supports the Huawei M-Pencil Pro stylus and Huawei-developed apps like Notes and GoPaint for creative work. Among its many tools and brushes, the GoPaint app also comes with colour cards, animation tools, and a 3D Oil Brush.

Productivity tools include WPS Office and Filmora for documents, slides, and even video assets, while the detachable keyboard offers three modes of use (Laptop, Studio, Split) to suit their preferred working style.

Other core specs include its 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 8,800mAh battery with 40W wired charging support, Bluetooth 5.2, and four built-in speakers. Huawei didn’t specify which processor it uses, but has openly stated that it runs on HarmonyOS 4.3. This means you have to use the Huawei AppGallery apps, and have no access to Google Mobile Services or Google Play Store right out of the box.

Huawei MatePad 11.5 S (2026) retails at S$648 in Green, starting on 3 April 2026, 8 PM (SGT) onwards.
