Singapore alpine skier Faiz Basha says 35th-place finish at Winter Olympics better than target


Singapore’s top alpine skier Faiz Basha said he’s pleased to come in 35th for the slalom event at the recent Winter Olympics. As for the giant slalom event, where he failed to finish the race, he explained that a “Did Not Finish” (DNF) is a common occurrence. The 24-year-old is eyeing the 2029 Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan and the 2030 French Alps Winter Olympics next. Nadine Yeam reports.
