Singapore Heart Foundation to open fourth wellness centre by 2027

The Singapore Heart Foundation plans to open its fourth wellness centre in Bedok by 2027, as part of efforts to combat cardiovascular disease, one of the country’s leading causes of death. The agency is also expanding outreach, including programmes teaching young children how to respond to cardiac emergencies. Its CEO is calling for more volunteers and donations to sustain these initiatives, which aim to improve prevention and reduce long-term healthcare costs. Nadine Yeam reports.
