Han Hui Hui’s three children, aged three, five and six, were removed from the household after police attended to an alleged altercation between the paternal grandmother and the children, and assessed that there were immediate concerns about their safety. The children were then brought to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital under the Children and Young Persons Act 1993 (CYPA) for temporary care and protection. Han and her husband then agreed for the children to remain in the hospital while further safe care arrangements were worked out with the family. However, Han later posted videos of her children taken during a supervised access session, which is prohibited under the CYPA in order to safeguard the children’s identities. When MSF’s Protection Officer (PO) reminded Han once again that she was not allowed to do so, Han proceeded to livestream her interaction with the PO. According to a Mar. 17 joint statement by MSF and the police, Han is required to carry a Correction Notice for the falsehoods in her since-deleted livestream. #mothershipnews #singapore #fyp #news
