Target Is Slashing Prices on New LEGO Sets That Just Released in 2025

LEGO has released a lot of new sets in 2025 and some of them are already getting discounts. Target just launched a sale on LEGO that includes some surprisingly good deals from popular franchises like Harry Potter, Wicked, Minecraft, and more. There’s a lot to choose from in this sale, but the most notable discounts are the popular new sets that actually came out recently.

It’s not often that you see newer releases get these types of discounts. Usually we’ll start seeing price cuts a year or more after a set comes out or when LEGO is close to retiring it, so to see such substantial discounts this early is definitely noteworthy. If you’re looking for a new build to buy ahead of the holiday season, these deals are definitely worth checking out before they’re gone. The sale is currently set to end on October 18.

New LEGO Sets on Sale at Target

Target is offering up to 30% off LEGO sets right now, but that doesn’t mean that everything in the sale is getting the maximum discount. Some of these sets, like the Minecraft Creeper, have only dropped in price by 20%. Because these sets are still new, though, any discount at all is a great deal. Almost all of the sets I’ve featured here have never actually dropped in price until now.

The LEGO Wicked Bookends at 30% off is a discount I didn’t think I would ever see, let alone only one month after it was released. This set was put on backorder at the LEGO Store almost immediately after it came out and has been incredibly popular since then. I actually had the chance to build this set myself last month and loved the experience. It works great as both a LEGO build and a functional pair of bookends.

Another new set included here that I have hands-on experience with is the LEGO Chomping Monster Book of Monsters set. I had the chance to build it back in June and found it to be a great option for both kids and adults. It was released alongside a bunch of other Harry Potter sets back in June, but wasn’t nearly as popular as the Hogwarts Express Book Nook that came out at the same time. At 20% off, it becomes dangerously affordable at that under $50 mark.

In addition to Harry Potter and Wicked sets, there are actually quite a few Minecraft builds featured in this sale. Of these discounts, the price cut on The Creeper set and the Advent calendar are the most notable. The Creeper has been one of the bestselling Minecraft sets since it came out back in June and the Advent calendar is currently at its lowest price ever. Both are great options to give as gifts to the Minecraft fan in your life this holiday season.

More Ways to Save on New Sets

If you’re looking for savings on a new set that isn’t included in this sale, the LEGO Store is currently having a double points event right now. You won’t get a direct price cut, but you will be able to earn twice as many points on your purchase and those points can be used for discounts later on. You need to be a LEGO Insider to take advantage of this promotion, but it’s free to join. This offer ends on October 20.
