Is there trouble brewing in the marriage of Charmaine Hui, daughter of the late Hong Kong actor Benz Hui, and her Singaporean banker husband, Shane Sim?
Hong Kong media seem to think so after Charmaine, 28, who recently signed with artiste management company Chessman HK as a professional host, sidestepped questions about her marriage.
Earlier this week, Chessman, founded by Hong Kong TV and radio personality Bob Lam, held a press conference to officially introduce its new artistes.
During the event, the conversation somehow drifted to dating and ideal partners. While two of the single female artistes joked about getting Bob — nicknamed the “gold medal matchmaker” — to introduce them to suitable men, Charmaine unexpectedly chimed in and even shared her own criteria for a partner.
That immediately raised eyebrows.
