Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 5: Pritam Singh on managing Singapore’s crow population


Can the Ministry of National Development (MND) share its protocols with regard to culling, or specifically shooting, as a means of reducing the crow population in Singapore? When and how does it determine that the population in a given area has exceeded acceptable levels, or is overpopulated with crows? MP Pritam Singh raised these questions in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4). Noting that MND has in recent months been working with the Singapore Police Force with a view to restart the shooting of crows, he wanted to know the result of this collaboration.
