SINGAPORE — President Lee Jae Myung said Sunday he will seek ways to broaden cooperation with Singapore in promising new areas, such as artificial intelligence (AI), renewable energy and defense, to advance “future-oriented” cooperation.
Lee made the remarks during a meeting with Korean residents in Singapore on the first day of his three-day state visit ahead of his summit talks with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The meeting, slated for Monday, will mark their second in four months after the two countries upgraded bilateral ties to a strategic partnership during their first talks in South Korea.
