Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox consoles on June 3, 2026.
The move effectively brings Nintendo players up to speed with the current arc of the remake project, which is only available on PlayStation 5 since last year. This follows Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which has already made its way onto Nintendo hardware, so Rebirth continues the story for players who may have missed its earlier PlayStation debut. It also positions both platforms closer to whatever Square Enix has planned for the trilogy’s still-unannounced concluding chapter.
