Ubisoft’s Montpellier studio was evacuated over a bomb threat earlier this week, and an investigation is reportedly underway to find the person or persons responsible.
According to French news outlet Midi Libre, the bomb threat was sent to police on Thursday, February 19, which forced 800 Ubisoft Montpellier employees to evacuate the building. Police subsequently searched for an explosive device and were unable to locate one.
“After investigation, authorities have confirmed there is no credible threat to our Montpellier studio,” said an Ubisoft spokesperson in a statement to GameSpot. “As a precaution, we evacuated the building and worked with local authorities. All employees are safe, and operations will resume.”
