Motorcyclist helping with investigations after accident with car in Ang Mo Kio

SINGAPORE – A motorcyclist is assisting with investigations after he was involved in an accident with a car at an Ang Mo Kio road junction on the night of Oct 10.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to an accident at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at 9.25pm that day.

The 27-year-old male motorcyclist was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, they said.

The motorcyclist is also assisting with investigations, the police added.

Dashcam footage from another car posted on SG Road Vigilante’s (SGRV) Facebook page on Oct 13 shows the motorcycle colliding with a black car that is making a right turn.

The traffic lights do not appear to be in favour of the motorcyclist, who is travelling straight. He is thrown into the air upon collision.

Debris from the motorcycle can also be seen strewn across the road.

Photos uploaded on SGRV’s Facebook page shows the black car with a damaged front bumper. The motorcycle can be seen lying on its side on the road.

Police investigations are ongoing.
