According to China’s state media, a foreign ministry spokesperson said that China is deeply shocked by and strongly condemns the “blatant use of force” against a sovereign state and action against its president. “We call on the US to abide by international law and the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and stop violating other countriesā sovereignty and security.” said the spokesperson. This was in response to large-scale strikes by U.S. troops, as well as the capture of Maduro, along with his wife, who was flown out of the country “in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement”.
