The onset of the holidays means it is awards season in Hollywood.
While plenty of this yearâs contenders, including Paul Thomas Andersonâs One Battle After Another and Jon M. Chuâs Wicked: For Good, have already opened in Hong Kong cinemas, the likes of Marty Supreme, starring best actor hopeful TimothĂ©e Chalamet, have yet to secure a release date.
Similarly, the Hong Kong release of the seasonâs biggest blockbuster, James Cameronâs eagerly awaited Avatar: Fire and Ash, has been indefinitely postponed out of respect for the recent Tai Po fire disaster.
Despite these omissions, the next three months promise a bounty of top-tier entertainment to meet all audience tastes, from horror sequels to sci-fi adventures and awards hopefuls.
