Those entering the new Kopitiam at West Mall will be greeted by “Kimberly”, a helpful and interactive AI concierge stationed at the entrance display screen.
“Kimberly” is designed to enhance the dining experience and can provide multilingual assistance in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, Japanese, Korean — and even local dialects.
“Kimberly” can present stall information, help diners locate their favourite dishes across menus, and recommend options based on preferences or ongoing promotions. What’s more, the avatar is linked to a real-time heat map that shows available seating, complete with wayfinding instructions — a feature particularly useful during peak hours.
To improve operational efficiency, Kopitiam has also implemented AI-powered video analytics to support footfall and queue mapping, as well as safety monitoring across the food court.
