A cat boarding home in Joo Chiat is facing eviction after falling behind on rent while caring for dozens of rescued cats.
Stomper Lim shared that Meow Homestay, an AVS-licensed cat boarding facility, has become a refuge for about 85 needy cats from remote parts of Singapore.
Many of the cats were abandoned, unclaimed or in poor health when they were taken in. A vet visits every two to three months for vaccinations and health checks, and more frequently when necessary, said Lim, who is a feeder at the cattery.
According to Lim, the cattery is now at risk of being evicted by Dec 14 due to rental arrears, and the landlord has issued an eviction notice.
