Nintendo’s Cyber Monday sale officially starts today, and that means one of the biggest deals of the Black Friday to Cyber Monday sales weekend is now available.
That’s right, it’s the official Switch 2 memory cards from Samsung, and they’re $20 off for a limited time only (until the end of the day, Dec. 1, or while stock lasts). The new deal is on the 256GB version, which has gotten its first-ever major discount.

You’re effectively doubling your console’s internal storage with the offer. You can pick it up for just $39 right now, which is the cheapest we’ve ever seen these speedy little microSD express cards since they came into fashion after the Switch 2 launch.
This is an official discount from Nintendo, which announced the deal not long before Black Friday. You can find it at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and other major retailers in the US.

If you’re looking to go a little further with your extra storage, one of our other favorite deals on Switch 2 storage is still available as well. That’s on the Samsung P9 512GB microSD express card, which is down to $74.99 at Amazon as well.
That’s $25 off, and even better value than the 256GB card (it’s a small $3 difference, yet significant enough to mention for prospective buyers).

For 1TB options, there’s also the Lexar 1TB Play Pro for $185.99 (was $219.99). But, at sheer, value to GB, the 512GB Samsung P9 still comes out on top at $75 (or $150 or you bought two, beating that 1TB threshold with $36 saved as well).
Still, each of these options are a great deal and well worth picking up while still on sale for the next couple of days. Just pick whichever is best for your budget!
As you well know, Switch 2 has moved to microSD Express for storage expansion (thankfully there are plenty in the sale right now), and that means your old Switch memory cards aren’t useable for game storage on the new console. They may look alike, but microSD Express cards are in a different league, hitting around 800MB/s while the usual microSD cards struggle to break 200MB/s.
And if you’re waiting for prices to nosedive, good luck. Demand for memory has already pushed DDR5 RAM back up, and storage tends to follow the same pattern. Realistically, you’re staring at mid to late 2026 before things calm down. If you want to avoid paying more later, grab a Switch 2 compatible card now and save yourself the headache.
Any Switch 2 Deals for Cyber Monday?
The Nintendo Switch 2 has been flying off shelves since it launched earlier this year, and ahead of its first Holiday season, those holding out on buying one will no doubt have an eye on potential discounts.
On that note, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the Switch 2 isn’t seeing any drastic discounts in the Nintendo Black Friday sale, but on the positive side, retailers appear to be getting creative with bundles.
So, while the system hasn’t budged from its $449.99 MSRP during Black Friday (I must not have had my fingers crossed hard enough!), there are perhaps more choices than ever heading into the holiday season.
Nintendo currently offers two bundles of its own, for example, with one including Mario Kart World and another offering Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Both of these are, at least in my opinion, rather good bundle deals, and I’d be very surprised if both aren’t selling like hotcakes given the popularity of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the original Nintendo Switch, and the timeless popularity of Pokémon.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle

The Mario Kart bundle, at $499, includes the console and Mario Kart World, at a $30 discount compared to buying each individually. While the Pokémon bundle is a similar deal, just a $20 saving instead, as the base game isn’t as pricey as Mario Kart.
Those are two great games to kickstart your Switch 2 collection, and these are the best possible Switch 2 Black Friday deals we’re getting without leaning too much on third-party retailers.
If you’re waiting on something else, I wouldn’t bother risking these going out of stock between now and December, because it’s likely to be a hot item for the Christmas period.
