A resident has been hanging a bamboo pole out of her bedroom window in Woodlands despite being served three notices and a service card by the town council.
Stomper Irene said the situation at Block 683A Woodlands Drive 62 has been happening for “many months”.
She shared photos of the “three-inch-long” bamboo pole – which had laundry hung on it – poking out from the seventh-floor bedroom window on multiple days in November.
Irene told Stomp: “I understand if it’s hangers, but bamboo poles are really dangerous and I don’t think you are allowed to hang them out of HDB bedrooms. This is not a kitchen.”
The Stomper noted that the path below is heavily used by pedestrians to reach the MRT station.
