An 81-year-old woman’s Yishun flat was allegedly broken into and left in ‘chaos’, with her belongings scattered across the home and several important documents still missing, said her family.
Stomper G, a relative of the elderly woman, said the family discovered the incident on Nov 23 when they visited the flat and found the main gate had been tampered with.
According to them, the gate had been secured with a new padlock that the grandmother neither authorised nor installed.
Inside the unit, drawers were emptied onto the floor, storage areas were overturned and a bedroom door appeared damaged.

They also found that the home security camera’s memory card had been removed.
Speaking on behalf of the family, G shared that the household cat had been left locked inside the flat without food or water until they arrived.
