Pilot programme to consolidate and share logistics among Singapore agro-food industry players


Local produce could soon become cheaper, thanks to a pilot programme to consolidate and share logistics among industry players. The initiative is aimed at reducing transportation costs to no more than 10% of a local farm produce’s value. The Singapore Agro-Food Enterprises Federation (SAFEF) is starting the pilot with a seafood company and hopes it can expand the scheme to vegetable farms in Lim Chu Kang.
