Authorities have seized the lion on the orders of the Natural Resources and Environment Minister, who said it will be relocated to a wildlife centre. Khaosod English reported that lions are classified as Type C controlled wildlife, referring to species that could endanger human life and property and therefore require secure housing. Under Thailand’s Wild Animal Conservation and Protection Act, failure to register such animals carries up to one year’s jail and a 100,000 baht (S$3,993) fine, while unauthorised transport is punishable by up to six months’ jail and a 50,000 baht (S$1,996) fine. #lion #wildlife #thailand #thailandtiktok
