A woman who visited a cobbler shop to fix her shoes was shocked when she was quoted $152 for glueing the soles of two pairs.
Stomper Isabelle told Stomp that she visited Sleek Services Enterprises in Bedok on Nov 1 in hopes of repairing her Prada and Valentino heels.
“The staff recommended replacing the soles at $199 per pair,” she recounted.
“I declined and asked for glueing instead but they didn’t state the price for that upfront.”
Isabelle said she paid $26 upfront using her CDC vouchers but was shocked when she was told the remaining balance was $126.
“Shocked but wanting the work done, I paid via PayLah!” she said. “After I received a receipt that said ‘no refund’, I left the shop.
