Most recently, the company hosted a Kirby Air Riders Direct, giving fans a closer look at Masahiro Sakurai’s upcoming racing game. With the end of the year on the horizon, Nintendo is preparing to share more details about one of its major projects for 2026.
Nintendo Announces Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct
As announced on social media, Nintendo has revealed that a Nintendo Direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will happen on Wednesday, November 12, at 6 am PT. The presentation will feature the world premiere of the movie’s first official trailer. While Nintendo previously shared a teaser that revealed the film’s title, this upcoming trailer should provide many more details about the plot and characters. It is worth noting that the Direct can be viewed on Nintendo’s YouTube channel and on the Nintendo Today app. The length of the presentation was not revealed, but it could be on the shorter side, considering there will be no game announcements.
Given the enormous success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, anticipation for the trailer is high. With the next installment teasing a space theme, it could have a very different feel from the original 2023 movie. Additionally, the new film will likely feature the introduction of Rosalina from the Super Mario Galaxy games.
