On the front nine, I had good opportunities, but I made mistakes on a few putts, but still I shot two under. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cI thought my back nine would be better than the front nine. I had many chances to make birdies. But it started getting windy&#8230; it was really tough, and I struggled, but yeah, I still played bogey-free. And even at the last hole, I made a long two putt for a birdie. Yeah, that was really good.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cI will just play my own game tomorrow. I think I\u2019ll play with Jeunghun Wang so it\u2019ll be really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">On the hunt for his first win in seven years, Wang said: \u201cActually, I hit it really well today, but my putting wasn\u2019t as good yesterday. So, I\u2019m really happy about my round, and I\u2019ll try to enjoy my next 18 holes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">US Amateur champion (2021) Piot, 27, remains in the chase for his first professional title after a bogey-free round and five birdies in the third round on Nov 8. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Singaporean amateurs Brayden Lee and Troy Storm posted their first over-par rounds of the week, with Lee carding a one-over 73 and 16-year-old Troy posting a two-over 74 to place joint-46th and joint-58th respectively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/sport\/young-guns-troy-storm-brayden-lee-spearhead-the-republics-charge-at-moutai-singapore-open?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">The duo are spearheading the Republic\u2019s charge at the International Series even<\/p>\n<p><\/a>t as the only golfers from the 11-member contingent to make the cut for the weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Lee, who fired birdies on Nos. 7 and 18, said: \u201cI wasn\u2019t hitting it that well all day, and putts weren\u2019t really dropping.
