Commonwealth Travel Service Corporation Pte Ltd (CTC Travel) has warned customers about a scam circulating online that misuses the company’s branding. \u00a0<\/p>\n
In a scam advisory posted on Wednesday (Nov 4), the travel agency said it had received reports of a fraudulent advertisement targeting citizens aged 50 and above.<\/p>\n
The advertisement, which features an unidentified elderly person, offers 20 discounted all-inclusive holiday packages. \u00a0<\/p>\n
The fraudulent advertisement reads “Starting October 2026, CTC Travel Singapore will offer 20 discounted all-inclusive holiday packages for seniors aged 50 and above.”<\/p>\n
It is circulated under the username “Local Online Service – 1”<\/p>\n

We have recently received reports of scam posts from individuals impersonating CTC travel.”<\/p>\n In the post, the agency urged followers not to click on “any suspicious links or respond to messages”. \u00a0<\/p>\n They also reminded followers to not reveal any personal data or payment information to sources unknown to them. \u00a0<\/p>\n “Please be reminded that all official CTC Travel promotions and offers will be published only through this official account”, said CTC Travel via their Facebook advisory.\u00a0<\/p>\n They also invited potential customers to reach out to them directly if they had any doubts or were unclear about promotional packages they had seen online. \u00a0<\/p>\n Responding to a comment where a user claimed to have seen a similar scam misusing another travel agency’s brand, CTC Travel said: “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
