In fact, more than $1 trillion has been wiped out from Nvidia&#8217;s market cap since its peak in October. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nvidia stock rebounded today, November 6, following the huge selloff on November 5 that also affected numerous other AI and technology stocks. However, Nvidia is still lagging behind Krispy Kreme in terms of growth in 2026. <\/p>\n<figure data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\" data-wp-context=\"{ &quot;core&quot;: { &quot;image&quot;: { &quot;initialized&quot;: true } } }\" class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-ref-id=\"1951639\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.core.image.showLightbox\" style=\"cursor: zoom-in\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/donut-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1951639\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Krispy Kreme&#8217;s stock exploded this week.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s right, shares of Krispy Kreme stock&#8211;$DNUT&#8211;are up about 3% in 2026, compared to negative returns for Nvidia this year. If you invested $1,000 into both $DNUT and $NVDA this year, you&#8217;d be making money on donuts and losing money on AI. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Krispy Kreme&#8217;s stock price exploded on November 5 after a solid earnings report, but has moderated since. In any event, Krispy Kreme is beating Nvidia so far in 2026 based on the percent gain for its stock price. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be sure, Nvidia and Krispy Kreme are not competitors in the market and their stock prices are not comparable except for the purpose of some laughs. Nvidia, with a market cap of more than $4.5 trillion, remains a juggernaut that captures the world&#8217;s attention. Krispy Kreme, meanwhile, has a market cap of under $1 billion, but they do make a damn good glazed donut. Krispy Kreme also rolled out a new line of Pokemon donuts this year, and they&#8217;re delicious. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nvidia selloff was due in part to Democrats taking control of the House and Senate&#8211;that&#8217;s notable because a lot of candidates who won seats are campaigning against AI data centers, thereby putting pressure on Nvidia&#8217;s stock price.
