{"id":98021,"date":"2026-11-07T06:22:02","date_gmt":"2026-11-06T22:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=98021"},"modified":"2026-11-07T06:22:02","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T22:22:02","slug":"303-abandoned-indiscriminately-parked-bicycles-sent-up-lorry-by-lta-since-july-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=98021","title":{"rendered":"303 abandoned, indiscriminately parked bicycles sent &#8216;up lorry&#8217; by LTA since July, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A total of 303 bicycles, parked indiscriminately or abandoned at bicycle parking areas, have been removed from bicycle parking facilities around key transport nodes since January this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a social media post on Thursday (Nov 5) that the operations were carried out at bicycle parking areas in Admiralty, Aljunied, Sembawang, Tampines, Yishun and several other locations.<\/p>\n<p>It added that its officers will continue to take action against indiscriminately parked or abandoned bicycles around key transport nodes.<\/p>\n<p>In an earlier post in June, LTA had explained that bicycles found to be parked indiscriminately, or are believed to be abandoned, will first be tagged with a notice.<\/p>\n<p>If such bicycles and devices are still not removed within the stipulated period, they may then be removed.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.asiaone.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/LTA%20removes%20indiscriminately%20parked%20bicycles.png\" alt=\"A contractor removing a bicycle deemed to have been abandoned.\" width=\"3000\" height=\"2000\"\/><figcaption>A contractor removing a bicycle deemed to have been abandoned.
