crypto-related fraud, the police said in a statement on Nov 5.

The operation was led by the police’s Cyber Command team, in partnership with DPT service providers including Coinbase, Coinhako, DTCPay, Gemini, Independent Reserve, OKX, StraitsX and Upbit.

Through advanced blockchain analysis using tools from Chainalysis and TRM Labs, the authorities identified victims across multiple types of scams, including government officials impersonation, investment and job scams.

The operation was also supported by customer information from the participating DPT service providers, which allowed officers to conduct targeted interventions over the phone and in person.

The crackdown extended beyond Singapore, with the Cyber Command team sharing blockchain intelligence with foreign law enforcement partners, font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular" data-testid="article-paragraph-annotation-test-id">This led to the identification of 32 foreign victims and allowed intervention efforts underscores the importance of sustained public-private partnership as well as timely cross-border intelligence sharing in combating scams,” the police said, adding that they will continue to
