Apple has started testing iOS 27.3, and the upcoming software update is shaping up to be a substantial one. The company released developer betas earlier this week and has only just released public betas. Though Apple didn\u2019t say when iOS 27.3 will be available officially, it will likely launch some time in December.<\/p>\n

Here are six new features to look forward to in iOS 27.3.<\/p>\n

Vertical Tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode in Safari<\/h2>\n

Apple\u2019s browser is getting a vertical tabs layout<\/b>, which could be particularly useful on the iPhone Duo.<\/p>\n

Safari is also getting an Adaptive Dark Mode<\/b> for websites that do not offer a native dark mode. The feature can darken page backgrounds, adjust text contrast, and invert logos and graphics, among other changes.<\/p>\n

New Actions for Siri AI<\/h2>\n

Apple is introducing several new actions for Siri AI, allowing the assistant to do more within and across apps.<\/p>\n

For example, Siri AI can help users unsubscribe from mailing lists<\/b> and undo recently sent messages<\/b>. It can also add locations to the Weather app\u2019s list and manage weather notifications.<\/p>\n

In Safari, Siri AI can clear browsing history<\/b>, manage tabs<\/b> and windows, and close duplicate tabs<\/b>. The Files app is also getting new Siri AI capabilities, including organising content and automatically deleting files after a predetermined period.<\/p>\n

Redesigned Health App<\/h2>\n

The Health app is getting a thorough redesign with new features like Health Age and the ability to measure your VO2 max.<\/p>\n

Previewed at WWDC 2026, the redesigned Health app provides more information about users\u2019 health and fitness metrics through two new tabs: Insights and Longevity.<\/p>\n

Information such as Activity Rings, heart rate, sleep score and vitals. It then offers personalised guidance and suggestions based on the data.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Longevity tab analyses seven health metrics: heart rate, sleep, mental well-being, movement health, metabolic health, hearing and nutrition.<\/p>\n

The redesign places a greater emphasis on helping users understand their health data, rather than simply presenting numbers and measurements.<\/p>\n

Reachability Comes to the iPhone Duo<\/h2>\n

Reachability is coming to the iPhone Duo to make one-handed operation easier.<\/p>\n

Users can swipe inward from either edge of the outer display to bring content closer to their thumb. This should make it easier to reach interface elements when using the device with one hand.<\/p>\n

Tweaked Keyboard for the iPhone Duo<\/h2>\n

Apple is tweaking the Duo\u2019s keyboard to make it more pleasant to type on.<\/p>\n

Apple has made several minor adjustments to the iPhone Duo\u2019s keyboard, including rearranging the emoji, number, microphone and Return keys.<\/p>\n

The keys are also slightly taller and thinner, while the space bar is wider. These changes seem designed to improve the typing experience.<\/p>\n

iPhone Duo\u2019s Standby Features Comes to Other iPhones<\/h2>\n

Other iPhones will soon get the Duo\u2019s Standby feature.<\/p>\n

Apple is also bringing updated Analog and Digital Clock faces with more customisation options, an updated Photos face, and new Calendar and Watch faces.<\/p>\n
