An Instagram post of the incident, which reportedly took place on October 28 at 7.19pm, was uploaded on Nov 1.<\/p>\n
Captioned “Only in SG: you go jalan jalan, end up watching live couple quarrel”, the clip had 174,000 views, 1,414 reactions and 78 comments at press time.<\/p>\n
At the start of the 17-second clip, the man is heard repeatedly saying: “I understand”.<\/p>\n
The spat then escalates physically when the man tells the woman: “You are making a scene, we are in public.” In response, she swings her handbag at him again and again while echoing his words.<\/p>\n
The man then walks away, leaving the woman devastated as she squats in the middle of the path where they were quarreling.<\/p>\n
