He was diagnosed with stage three Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma, a cancer of the <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">lymphatic system<\/span>. His only symptom had been a swollen lymph node on the left side of his neck, something he had been inclined to ignore.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\">The diagnosis left him contemplating his mortality, his future and how he would care for his parents.
