It looks like the China-only foldable phone by Samsung is now available… and we must say it\u2019s quite hard to miss it.<\/p>\n
The Samsung Galaxy W27: A China-exclusive foldable phone<\/h2>\n
Following its teaser, Samsung China has launched its China-only foldable smartphone, the Galaxy W27.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to GSMArena, its hardware is mostly similar to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra we have in Singapore, right down to its customised Qualcomm chipset choice (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy).<\/p>\n
Also, just like past Galaxy W releases, this is specifically made for a Chinese telco partnership. The Galaxy W27 is in collaboration with China Telecom, and it has a subscription service that\u2019s for its Tiantong satellite system. Beyond that, there\u2019s no additional hardware or features when compared to a regular Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.<\/p>\n Samsung Galaxy W27 in Jixia Red<\/p>\n Image: Samsung China<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Its most visible difference, however, is that the phone looks like it was designed by a Chinese KTV owner. The finish comes with a choice two colourways (Jixia Red, Jihu Blue) that seems heavily inspired by a bottle of Martell Cordon Bleu cognac, and it\u2019s accentuated by bright, yellow-gold trimmings around the hinges, sides, and rear camera housing.\u00a0<\/p>\n The phone retails at CNY18,999 (~S$3,660.37) and CNY21,999 (~S$4,238.36) for its 512GB and 1TB storage options, respectively.
