{"id":9692,"date":"2025-11-07T18:36:35","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T10:36:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=9692"},"modified":"2025-11-07T18:36:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T10:36:35","slug":"singaporean-man-arrested-after-drugs-detected-during-checks-at-singapore-cruise-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=9692","title":{"rendered":"Singaporean man arrested after drugs detected during checks at Singapore Cruise Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 <!-- -->A 50-year-old Singa<!-- -->porean man<!-- --> was arrested after he was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia at Singapore Cruise Centre on<!-- --> Oct 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a Facebook post o<!-- -->n Nov 6, t<!-- -->he Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said its officers detected anomalies in scanned images of the man\u2019s belongings and sent him for <!-- -->enhanced screening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Officers also observed that he appeared nervous, and a thorough examination uncovered a syringe suspected to be used for drug consumption, a sachet of suspected drugs and seven items of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The man tested positive for methamphetamine and was arrested. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">ICA referred the case to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), which later found more controlled drugs, including five E<!-- -->rimin-5 ta<!-- -->blets, three Ecstasy tablets, 3.78g of Ice (methamphetamine), a vape device with an attached vape pod, another vape pod and various other paraphernalia. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">CNB officers then escorted the man to his home, where they recovered another 15.5g of Ice and more drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In response to queries from The Straits Times, CNB confirmed the arrest and said investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/singaporean-man-arrested-after-drugs-detected-during-checks-at-singapore-cruise-centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE \u2013 A 50-year-old Singaporean man was arrested after he was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia at Singapore Cruise Centre on Oct 17.
