With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em><\/strong> only days away, fans have learned the file sizes for the game on PS5 and PC. Call of Duty<\/em> games typically require players to have a lot of free space on their machines to download, and Black Ops 7<\/em> will continue that trend thanks to its massive file size.<\/p>\n

This fall has been an exciting time for first-person shooter fans, as two of the biggest franchises on the market are set to go head-to-head. EA released Battlefield 6<\/em> on October 10, bringing the first new installment in the Battlefield<\/em> series since 2021. Now, Activision is poised to offer its next blockbuster shooter in Black Ops 7<\/em> on November 14. While it is unclear which FPS will ultimately sell the most copies, both will be among the most popular games of the year. As a result, many gamers are curious about how much free space they will need to allocate on their machines.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Black Ops 7<\/em>\u2019s release date, some players have learned how much storage space they will need for the game. According to PlayStation Game Size, the download size for Version 01.085.000 (HQ) is 96.677GB on PS5. While this is already massive, there are additional packs related to the game if players want the complete Call of Duty<\/em> experience. These include the Co-op Campaign Pack at 15.594GB and the Warzone Pack (01.020.000) at 19.734GB. When considering these, the total exceeds 130GB.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Black Ops 7<\/em> needs a minimum of 116GB on PC at launch. Currently, the download size on Xbox Series consoles is unclear. However, it will likely be similar to other platforms, meaning players should make sure they have ample space available ahead of time.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, these reported file sizes for Black Ops 7<\/em> mean it is significantly larger than the latest Battlefield<\/em> installment. It is worth pointing out that the file size for Black Ops 7<\/em> could be adjusted in the future. Activision has reduced the size of the Call of Duty HQ app in the past.<\/p>\n

While the file size for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em> is huge, the game does come with a lot of content. Activision recently confirmed the list of multiplayer maps and modes for launch, offering many options for players. Additionally, the publisher recently revealed every Operator coming to Black Ops 7<\/em> at launch, with some available at the outset and others that need to be unlocked.<\/p>\n
