Photo: S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">While attending the University of British Columbia for electrical engineering, he decided to take time off to work at a bakery and quickly realised how much he enjoyed being in the kitchen.<\/p>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">Soon enough, Ferguson came across a job posting for cooks by Belon\u2019s executive chef <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">Matthew Kirkley<\/span>.
