Please forgive me,&#8221; he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the children by their initials, K and G, Dominic said: &#8220;Your dad&#8217;s health is deteriorating. My last wish is to see you both.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the past, Dominic asked: &#8220;Who is without fault? It takes two to tango. An error can remain unforgiven, so why does repentance never receive recognition. [sic]&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also appeared to suggest that if his children do not wish to reunite with him while he is still alive, they need not turn up when he dies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"627\" width=\"500\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliangjishiye%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0a6MUA86d8nUkTiGXr3eTt8sEnrYj2kZ9XVUNj1Nfm1HA5arbGYuUQzSE5rf9PM2Yl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" allowfullscreen=\"\">\u00a0<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Dominic has opened up about his estrangement from his children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In fact, he talked about it multiple times, including on a Singaplex podcast, where he revealed that he is divorced and had neglected his children in the past.<\/p>\n<p>He also had several brushes with the law, including multiple jail sentences for offences such as fighting and extortion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These experiences added to the breakdown of his relationship with his children, whom he has not seen for more than 20 years, he told 8days in January.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, his son and daughter were aged 29 and 24 respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Part of his regrets as a father are also reflected in something that has become synonymous with the branding of his hawker business \u2014 the colour yellow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dominic had noticed that his son really liked Pikachu, the mascot of the popular franchise Pokemon.<\/p>\n<p>This became his motivation to not give up, he told Singaplex.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"774\" width=\"500\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliangjishiye%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02fKjn7urNiZJhsjsruAi9AZrXCKP7LyZzgysXjuACZPENLGuxy9GwjPmEMYKH4Tbrl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" allowfullscreen=\"\">\u00a0<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One way Dominic has kept his son close to his heart over the years is opening his Liang Ji stall at Chinatown Complex Market and Food Centre on a date special to him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This stall should have started on Dec 1. I chose Dec 13. For a better memory. This date is my son&#8217;s birthday.
