The assistant, Tey Jing Wen, 33, pleaded guilty last Thursday to five charges, including embezzlement, breach of trust and drink-driving, Mothership <\/em>reported, citing local media.<\/p>\n

Kim previously spoke on the case<\/a> in a TikTok livestream last October, in which she alleged her assistant had stolen cash and valuables, using the company card for personal expenses and driving the company car while drunk, according to Channel News Asia<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The court recently heard that Tey joined Kim’s beauty and health company KL Health as a human resources assistant in 2022, according to local Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She was promoted to HR manager after two years and later became regional coordinator. She worked closely with Kim and held a key role in the company.<\/p>\n

Tey was caught driving against traffic in June 2025 and was found to have exceeded the legal blood alcohol limit. Authorities also discovered she was driving Kim’s car, which she was responsible for maintaining as regional coordinator, without a licence or third-party insurance. She was later released on bail.<\/p>\n

After noticing a decline in Tey’s work performance following the arrest, Kim launched an internal investigation and found that the assistant had spent S$19,191 at several luxury nightclubs using the company credit card.<\/p>\n

Kim also discovered that some of her personal items kept in the company safe were missing, including the Patek Philippe watch and red packets containing S$8,000 that she said belonged to her son.<\/p>\n

Kim had earlier told Tey the safe’s combination code to the safe and later forgot the code, leaving Tey as the only person able to access it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Police investigations found that Tey had stolen the items and sold the watch for S$16,500 while on bail to cover part of her unauthorized credit card spending.<\/p>\n

She was also found to have taken valuables worth nearly S$74,000, including cash, jewellery and perfumes.<\/p>\n

The case has been adjourned until Nov. 2 for sentencing. If convicted of criminal breach of trust as an employee, the assistant faces up to 15 years in prison, a fine, or both.<\/p>\n

Kim is a prominent socialite with more than 690,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly showcases her luxurious lifestyle.<\/p>\n

KL Health, her wellness empire, includes Papilla and four other brands under Illumia Group, each focusing on different areas of beauty and wellness.<\/p>\n

She is the daughter of self-made billionaire Peter Lim, 73, who made his initial fortune as a stockbroker in the 1980s and was known as the “remisier king” of Singapore before moving into private investments.<\/p>\n

Peter ranked 33rd on Forbes<\/em>‘ Singapore rich list in September, with an estimated net worth of US$1.85 billion. He also owns Spanish football club Valencia, whose president is his son Kiat Lim.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
