A Tengah resident who repeatedly provided feedback about pickleball noise in his estate has expressed gratitude for the implementation of new measures.<\/p>\n

Stomper Anon<\/strong> shared a notice instructing the strict use of only foam balls for pickleball games at a multi-purpose court at Block 119A Plantation Crescent.<\/p>\n

The notice, put up by Chua Chu Kang Town Council (CCKTC), informed residents about the six-month trial starting on Oct 1. It also stated that the facility is open from 9.30am to 8pm daily, after which the court lights will be \u201cturned off promptly\u201d.<\/p>\n

Will the foam-ball trial become a permanent measure?<\/h2>\n

In response to Stomp\u2019s queries, a CCKTC spokesperson confirmed on Oct 22 that the \u2018Use Foam Balls Only\u2019 trial is currently conducted only at the court near Block 119A Plantation Crescent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team is carefully monitoring the situation during the trial period,\u201d said the spokesperson.<\/p>\n

CCKTC will assess the trial\u2019s effectiveness in reducing noise and will gather feedback from residents.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added: \u201cFollowing the trial period, we will evaluate its impact to decide whether to continue allowing the use of foam balls only, or to explore other measures as we balance the needs of the court users and residents living nearby.\u201d<\/p>\n

The town council sought residents\u2019 understanding and cooperation to \u201cmaintain a pleasant living environment for all\u201d.<\/p>\n

Anon attributed the trial to his previous Stomp reports about pickleball noise, which he has been documenting for over a year:<\/p>\n

Anon told Stomp: \u201cThe new rules came after Stomp\u2019s post. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if there has been any improvement in noise levels, Anon said the court has quieted down due to the recent haze. He will share updates in a month\u2019s time.<\/p>\n
