Four residents were evacuated following a fire at block 714 Tampines Street 71 on Sunday (Oct 18) afternoon, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The SCDF said that it was alerted to the fire at around 4.45pm, and extinguished the flames using a water jet.

Contents of a kitchen and service yard in a 13th floor unit were involved in the fire.

Four persons were evacuated from the unit prior to the SCDF’s arrival. No injuries were reported.
