{"id":93109,"date":"2026-10-15T12:19:59","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T04:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=93109"},"modified":"2026-10-15T12:19:59","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T04:19:59","slug":"nea-lifts-heavy-rain-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=93109","title":{"rendered":"NEA lifts heavy rain warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"text-primary article-summary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013<!-- --> The National Environment Agency (NEA) lifted its heavy rain warning <!-- -->just before 9am<!-- --> on Oct 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The rain had triggered a warning from national water agency PUB, which earlier advised the public to avoid parts of Bartley and Upper Paya Lebar due to the risk of flash floods from heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">PUB, in an alert on its X account at 7.48am, advised people to avoid Lorong Gambir (from Lorong Penchalak to Gambir Walk) from 7.48am to 8.48am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">At 7.51am, it also urged the public to avoid the service road off Upper Paya Lebar Road (near Lim Teck Boo Road) for the next hour.<\/p>\n<p>In an update at 8.54am, NEA said: \u201cThe heavy rain has eased.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">NEA said in an update at about 8.30am that moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty winds were expected over many areas of Singapore between 8.25am and 9.30am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Its earlier forecast was for only the south, east and west to be affected between 7.50am and 8.50am.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<center><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/avoid-areas-in-bartley-upper-paya-lebar-due-to-risk-of-flash-floods-pub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><br \/>\n<center\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE \u2013 The National Environment Agency (NEA) lifted its heavy rain warning just before 9am on Oct 15.
