SINGAPORE, Oct 11 \u2014\u00a0A Chinese tourist received a rude welcome to Singapore when his Louis Vuitton bag got stolen at Gardens by the Bay during his first visit to the country.<\/p>\n
He managed to track the alleged thief and retrieve it within 20 minutes, but several of the items inside were gone.<\/p>\n
User Lao Hei Livefree posted on Xiaohongshu: \u201cIt was truly an extraordinary trip. My first time abroad, even my first time leaving the country, my first time in Singapore, and I got robbed!\u201d<\/p>\n
Photos accompanying the post show him walking around Gardens by the Bay with a police officer, and at least three officers at the scene talking to him and handling his luxury handbag.<\/p>\n
He also received a card from the police stating they would investigate it further.<\/p>\n
Found the alleged thief by chance<\/strong><\/p>\n Over several posts, Lao Hei Livefree explained that the alleged theft happened at around 9pm on Oct 5 after he saw a light show at the Supertree grove with his friends.<\/p>\n He had left his bag behind him and leaned forward to discuss the itinerary with them, but heard \u201ca burst of rapid footsteps\u201d.<\/p>\n Turning around, he discovered his bag was gone.<\/p>\n The tourist then tried to track it down using his wireless earphones to no avail.
