His work on Amazon&#8217;s Prime Video Spider-Noir show officially came to an end when the Marvel project was canceled last month, but it doesn&#8217;t sound like he would have been too excited to return for a second season anyway.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, to the tune of <u>$50 billion invested in OpenAI<\/u>. I&#8217;m not an AI-friendly actor,&#8221; Cage said. &#8220;I&#8217;m not part of their club. I didn&#8217;t sign the waiver to use AI on Spider-Noir. In early 2025, the actor <u>used the Saturn Awards as an opportunity<\/u> to speak against artificial intelligence, saying he&#8217;s &#8220;a big believer in not letting robots dream for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;Robots cannot reflect the human condition for us,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;That is a dead end if an actor lets one AI robot manipulate his or her performance even a little bit, an inch will eventually become a mile and all integrity, purity, and truth of art will be replaced by financial interests only. We can\u2019t let that happen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">He also told <u>The New Yorker<\/u> that he was &#8220;terrified&#8221; of AI in 2024. One fresh face in the Hollywood scene that he had kind words for at NYCC was YouTuber-turned-director Kane Parsons. The budding moviemaker behind Backrooms previously called attention to the &#8220;<u>genuinely harmful consequences<\/u>&#8221; generative AI has inflicted on society, and now, Cage just so happens to be a fan.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;I got to get with these young directors who are, you know, Gen Z, and they&#8217;re going in it their own way, whether it&#8217;s through the YouTube culture or whatever it is,&#8221; the actor said. &#8220;They&#8217;re doing it from scratch by hand. I wanna get with that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">The Face\/Off star&#8217;s time in the live-action Spider-Noir may have come to an end, but it won&#8217;t be long before we see him on our screens again. Cage is attached to <u>star in Madden as John Madden<\/u> in what may be his final project with Amazon MGM. He&#8217;s also <u>expected to appear in the next season of True Detective<\/u>, and he&#8217;ll lend his voice chops to the Marvel universe once again when he shows up for <u>Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse<\/u> in 2027.<\/p>\n<p><span data-cy=\"poll-view-trigger\"><\/p>\n<section class=\"box-wrapper jsx-2673806401\"\/><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Cage commented on Spider-Noir&#8217;s cancellation shortly after the news broke: &#8220;For me, one season is perfect, having said what I wanted to say with this dangerous, innovative, pop-art Spider-Man.
